Imagine you are in a dream, a dream that is much like a fairy tale, and the story within the fairy tale unfolds in such a way that captivates the reader. Marina, by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, is such a story.

It is Barcelona 1980, and Oscar Drai, a young and curious boy, enters an old, dilapidated mansion and he meets Marina, a girl destined to steal his heart forever…Together, they delve into a forgotten and old Barcelona, where a cemetery is not just a cemetery, but a place of forgotten loves, mystery, magic and haunted souls.

Carlos Ruiz Zafon at his best!
