The Lost Boy

Warning: This book is highly contagious, known to increase heart palpitations, and you are going to be left wondering about the human psyche.

The story revolves yet another murder case, in which Detective Patrick Hedstrom, investigates the homicide of Fjalbacka’s financial director, Mats Sverin. Meanwhile, Mats’ ex-girlfriend, Nathalie returns to Fjalbacka with secrets of her own.
Camilla Lackberg, from the first line, creates an eerie atmosphere as the story shifts between past and present. This is book 7, and it is by far (in my humble opinion) the darkest in the series. The only light element, again, is the light banter between the Detective and his wife, Erica Falck, who is an author and Camilla Lackberg’s alter ego.
